Description

The MAT-3 is a fully autonomous aircraft made entirely of carbon fiber and equipped with a dual motor configuration, camera, and gimbal. It competes in the AUVSI-SUAS competition to execute a series of tasks including object detection and classification, aircraft avoidance, and network communication among other things. It uses a Pixhawk 4 and Raspberry Pi 3B+ to control its motors and communicate with MFly's ground station. The MAT-3 had several successful autonomous test flights, and the team is currently iterating on its design for future AUVSI-SUAS competitions.
